History
The patient is a 42-year-old male with cognitive impairment. The study was requested to evaluate brain metabolism.

PET Findings
Severe mypometabolism is noted in the frontal, temporal, and anterior parietal regions bilaterally. The remainder of the scan is unremarkable.

Other
The severe hypometabolism noted in the frontal, temporal, and anterior parietal regions bilaterally indicates diffuse neuronal dysfunction such as would be seen with dementia.
